With national and statewide recognition, the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System has been hailed as one of the leading school systems in the state. Both national and state goals for education are met and exceeded each year. All schools in the system are approved by the State Board of Education and are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. In 2012, the CMCSS had a 95.2% graduation rate.
